Learning along with a friend works for many people. It’s fun. It may even be less intimidating for some. There’s a drive to keep up with others in the group which means progress can be rapid. And of course, making music together is what it’s – often – all about. There are generally economies of scale as well, which is a slightly flash way of saying it can be cheaper than one-to-one learning.
Playing guitar in a group has a workshop feel about it. Members of the group – be it two or more – will stretch one another. There’s an industrious pleasure in learning guitar in a group.
